KID'S KICKBOXING ages 6-12
Our Kid's Kickboxing program is much more than fighting. Our classes teach children respect, self-discipline, focus, and how to lead a healthy lifestyle. Muay Thai Kickboxing has been shown to be a proven-effective martial arts style and techniques in countless professional fights. We honor tradition but add our own enhancements to maximize results and to be more effective in real-world situations by adding age appropriate Krav Maga techniques.
Each class is carefully thought out to boost confidence and give children the skills needed to protect themselves and reach their goals. Our Kid's Kickboxing classes will assist your child with coordination and body awareness. Strength, flexibility and aerobic fitness are developed along with a clear, focused mind and unshakable spirit. Our Kids’ Kickboxing program has had proven, positive results for years and is constantly innovating to be even better.
Martial arts training give your son or daughter the chance to strengthen in mind as well as the body. It encompasses not just the physical aspect of the “sport”, but mental and emotional lessons as well.
Comparing that to other youth activities and sports, where fierce competitiveness and “winning at all costs” seems to be the order of the day, it’s not surprising that many children grapple with issues of self-esteem and misplaced aggression.
Many parents enroll their children that struggled with Attention Deficit Disorder (A.D.D.). At first, they usually struggle with class but when they see the other children joyfully participating, they become inspired and start to watch closely. They learned quickly that by paying attention they would be able to participate and then would be beaming with good feelings. Add to that the positive feedback they gain, plus this new confidence and ability to focus starts to carry over into their school work, at home, and with other activities.
Children with autism can also benefit from martial arts training. The interaction between the other children, the instructor and their parent can bring their focus into the present, their attention span increases with time and their motor skills drastically improve including remembering complex patterns and movements. We highly encourage our member's parents in participating with their disabled child in order to slowly integrate them into the group as well as making their parent/child bond stronger.
One of our kids has Multiple Sclerosis, Epilepsy, and ADHD. When he started he could not participate in many of the activities because of his inability to use one of his hands and one of his legs properly. After a few months, he was running and climbing with the rest of the kids. His coordination and focus increased and he was having a great time while doing it. Children, unlike at his regular school the kids here helped him and treated him as a family member.
We pride ourselves in reinforcing not only respect for everyone but for our members treat every child in our school as though they are family. In fact, many of the children at our school get together after class to play together.
